This is a custodial sentence, part of which must be executed (the firm part of the sentence) and the other part of which is suspended (the suspended part of the sentence) with probation.

Partial suspension is only possible for custodial sentences of between 12 months and 36 months.

Both the firm and the suspended part of the sentence cannot be less than 6 months.

The firm portion of the sentence of may not exceed more than half of the overall sentence. Thus, for a total sentence of 36 months, the firm part of the sentence will be a minimum of 6 months and a maximum of 18 months.
